THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE
Cute, bubbly, approachable; it would shock many that the upbeat writer has an impulsive monster lurking somewhere deep within. Though, really, all one would have to do is read most of her work to get a glimpse.
MOTHER Ermengarde de Beaumont FATHER William I, William the Lion, "Garbh", King of the Scots
SISTERS Margaret, Countess of Kent, Eleanor, Duchess of Brittany (surrogate) BROTHER Alexander II of Scotland
MARITAL STATUS Single
ENFP "THE CAMPAIGNER"
01. Has spent years on-and-off as the acting authority in Edinburgh, and because of her royal lineage there are still Scottish vampires who refer to as "Princess." She gets a kick out of this. 02. May or may not have started--or at least been the lightning rod--for some wars. Maybe. Probably. Absolutely. 03. Has not sired any progeny since Josef. 04. Went through a phase of trying to rescue and turn royal and noble women who were captives or hostages. It rarely went well. 05. She is the human equivalent of a cat. (Goes where she's not supposed to, does the Stupid Thing, and gets into trouble.) 06. Has a thing for languages. Name it; she can probably speak it. 07. Because she has seen so much, Isabella tends to write down a great deal of what she sees and experiences. Throughout her massive amount of practice, she has become quite a skilled writer and has even sold some books under the pen name Isobel Williams.
IMMORTALITY unless killed by sunlight or a stake made of Aspen wood, Isabella will live "forever" at the age in which she was turned (early 20s).
PLAGUE like other Nosferatu, Isabella has the ability to spread plague, though she hasn't put this into practice. On purpose, anyway.
BLOOD she must consume blood of other creatures -- specifically humans -- to survive. Additionally, Isabella's blood can cause humans to enter a state of euphoria. Taken in large doses, her blood may heal another creature. However, humans who consume her blood will have a link created between the two.
GLAMOUR can compel other humanoid creatures to do her bidding.
into the past
Isabella of Scotland
Isabella was the second daughter and child to William the Lion, King of Scotland, born in 1195. She spent her early years in Scotland surrounded by her family and was especially close to her older sister Margaret. The two girls, however, had their lives upheaved in 1209, when Isabella was fourteen. As a result of their father’s explosive relationship with King John (and his attempts to marry Margaret to the French king to cement an alliance), Margaret and Isabella became King John’s hostages. They were taken to Corfe Castle to be held “prisoner” alongside Eleanor, Duchess of Brittany. This ensured an uneasy peace between Scotland and England, and Isabella spent her formative years in English captivity. Her future and marriage prospects were all in the hands of the English king.
Despite being designated as hostages, the trio of young women had a fairly comfortable life and were treated reasonably well by King John. For the most part, the women were kept under lock and key, and barely allowed to leave their fortress. Their caretakers, however, took pity on them now and again, and allowed for the girls to go out riding under strict supervision. The three women grew incredibly close, and although Eleanor of Brittany wasn't their sister by blood, they considered her one regardless. Of the trio, Isabella, the youngest, tended to be the most outgoing and adventurous. As a result, she was also the likeliest to get into trouble.
Towards the end of her tenure in captivity, the possibility of marrying Henry III, King John's son and heir, comes across the table, especially after the two officially met. Unfortunately, the possibility seemed incredibly unlikely, regardless of how the two felt, and Isabella remained held in captivity, even after Margaret had been finally married off. On one of Eleanor and Isabella's rides, Isabella was separated from the host and wandered until well after nightfall. Alone and scared, the Scottish princess eventually came across a couple of travelling men. Rather than greet them with fear, Isabella watched them with curiosity and amazement. Her feelings didn't change even when one of them bared his fangs -- it incited only awe and amusement in the young woman. She discovered that the two travelers were Nosferatu, and Isabella realized that there was something even better than Henry III out there for her.
Isabella was quite taken with both of them and with the life beyond what she had always known. Judas informed her what life as a vampire met, and Isabella embraced it wholly. She was turned soon thereafter, taken away from the fortress which had been her home since she was fourteen. The English royals were disturbed that one of their hostages had gone missing, and unable to send the true princess back to Scotland as her brother and current King of Scotland was demanding, they quickly found a lookalike and sent her to the northern country to pretend to be Isabella of Scotland. What history has written or told about one of the few remaining members of William the Lion's lineage never realized that Isabella's life as a human came to an end long, long before her decoy died as the Countess of Norfolk.
Judas had not properly prepared Isabella for what was to become of her as a vampire. Her first few decades as a Nosferatu saw a great deal of chaotic carnage at her hands. It took Isabella a great deal of time to learn control, and even the, her natural curiosity and inquisitiveness nudged her into precarious situations. If the consequences were not for her personally, than they were for the humans around her, and Isabella caused her fair share of fights, riots and wars. On rare occasions, she managed to stumble into some truly remarkable discoveries because of her curiosity--helping her make very excellent friends, vampires, humans and other creatures--throughout her long life.
In the 20th century, Isabella began working as a nurse in Europe for the sake of easy feeding. She was still nursing her own wounds (after some particularly nasty parting with a former lover) while tending to some of the injured during WWI which was when she met and sired a man named Josef. He was a handsome and brave soldier, and at first she was quite pleased with her new progeny. That quickly soured in the ensuing years, and seeing what Josef was becoming, Isabella severed their sire/sired bond and left Europe.
As the 20th century continued rolling on, Isabella spent most of her time with Judas, trouble not actually following her on a regular basis. In more recent years, Judas finally released Isabella, and the two parted ways. She returned to Scotland for several years to enjoy her home country before deciding to follow her maker back to the US. After arriving on North American soil, it didn't take long for her to catch wind of something she wanted to investigate, which led to her being apprehended by members of the Ordo Templi Orientis. Isabella has been held captive for several weeks now to be interrogated by the members.

pb. Elizabeth Henstridge extra. Isabella is a fictional representation of a historical figure on whom very little information is readily accessible. This representation is for fun, rp purposes and I am claiming little to no historical accuracy since, you know, vampires.
